The Sohn Conference Foundation is a nonprofit that raises funds for pediatric cancer research through their renowned conferences which draw world-class investors to Wall Street. I partnered with the Foundation to prepare their first-ever streaming-only event as the world transitioned out of the pandemic. The virtual version needed to live up to the reputation of Sohn’s celebrated in-person events of the past.

I expanded the brand identity with new assets, built a cohesive suite of marketing and livestream graphics, and launched a redesigned website. By elevating the visual identity and implementing it across various touchpoints that were consistent with graphics on the livestream, I ensured the event delivered a seamless, high-caliber experience worthy of the brand that Sohn had built.

Brand Refresh

The system needed to be flexible enough to work everywhere—print collateral, the website, email marketing, and the livestream. The identity also needed to extend beyond Wall Street, since major cities around the world run their own conferences under the Sohn brand.


While exploring ways to evolve the identity, I studied Pentagram’s Sundance Film Festival system, which uses circles in infinite array of patterns to create a flexible visual language across formats.
For Sohn, I applied that thinking by creating a system of overlapping circles. Rather than referencing film, these forms represent connection—the way the conference brings together investors, researchers, and philanthropists around a shared mission. The circles echo the horizon curve in the original logo, and their overlaps convey collaboration, compounding ideas, and collective impact.
